As in, card games, TCGs, board games, pen-and-paper RPGs, wargames...
Anyone play them? Do you have any that you're particularly enjoying?
My brother buys me cardgames for my birthdays/Christmas every now and then, so I currently have Munchkin, Fluxx, and Gloom. (Except I haven't got around to Gloom yet, because it needs other people to play it with me and I am a sad sad looser. It looks hilariously evil though.)
Also I am playing Ars Magica, which is... Medieval Europe only with fae showing up to cause trouble and angels and demons popping in to do their respective masters' work and nudge people along whatever path. Also magi, which are the bulk of the player characters. (I have a chatty little mage-girl with a talking swift who happens to be a fae. Hilarity Ensues.)
I want to give Cards Against Humanity a try, but I feel like with some of my friends that could end up being... interesting.

That's kind of like dark Apples to Apples, isn't it? I enjoy that game, especially when I'm either really hyper, semi drunk or just in a good atmosphere lol.
I used to play Magic: The Gathering, and I used to play DnD with my college group. We played Faerun but I remember REALLY enjoying Planescape. That's where a lot of my characters developed from.
I want to try playing Golden Sky Stories. Someone I follow on FA has played it before and I guess really enjoys it!
Also I know it doesn't technically considered a TCG but I played Sword Girls on Facebook for a while, and it was really addicting because of all the pretty art and the "HECK YEAH" of winning around. Also it reminded me of the Monster Rancher Battlecard game for Game boy xD

I remembered I had a forum account here, so here I am.
I don't play all that many board games these days. I used to play a lot of Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne and Canasta before my sister moved away. These days I occasionally play chess or Othello (but not nearly as much as I used to), and every couple weeks there's a session of a DnD2e campaign I usually show up to participate in.
Munchkin is a fun game, and I've wanted to try Ars Magica for a long time but even if I had the books I doubt I'd be able to get a group for it.

Yea it seems pretty complicated. Especially 'cause my group are trying to play within the confines of real history, and I know nothing about medieval history. Also, I will never understand stress dice. Ever.

Y'know how in D&D a 1 means a critical failure and you fail outright ignoring your modifiers in a skill..? A stress die is more like "Yes, you failed... Here's how badly." In Ars Magica, attempting certain things involves a stress die, which means you re-roll, but you will now fail catastrophically, and even succeeding can be... explosive. "EG. You cast the fireball, well done. Unfortunately it got a little bit bigger than you planned and everyone within three feet of you needs to roll damage. Or for a knowledge check, you manage to come up with a word-perfect recitation from an encyclopaedia, not realising that it's the wrong one, or that the guy who wrote it didn't actually have the first clue on the subject.) At least, that's my understanding. The actual mechanics and how they affect your modifiers, and when you would use them are mostly lost on me, sadly.
