ahaha tentacles. Yeah they sort of immediately have the hentai aspect, don't they?
I will say though, that they are aesthetically interesting! I like when they are used in steampunk themed designs and stuff too. So to tentacle girl I say: go for it!

they do have that implication . . . I could go into the history of tentacle related . . . Umm . . . Adult material, but I dont wanna, cause its wierd.
She's more of a medusa looking character; in my head she's super hot, but I can't draw that well.

Hey look! a back ground . . . or my attempt at one. I got really lazy with all the straight lines and this looks really sloppy to me. Also the sign is REALLY bad . . . pay no attention to it . . . look at the moon instead . . . you like the moon . . . I know you do.

A BACKGROUND!! Yes, maybe the perspective is off but its a great start! I like that you have different windows lit up instead of just doing a straight color. and also.. "SIGN!" lol Also this is maybe just a nitpicky thing but when you start making more stuff, play with more extreme lighting for instance, the moon is more or less behind her, right? So the whole front of her would be in shadow except maybe for the part of her that is turned towards it. I'm not saying fill her in with black or anything, but do the shadow over most of her, maybe keep her eyes bright and shiney (cause... I think that sort of thing looks cool, but its totally up to you) Anyway, this is awesome! Can't wait to see more

I like this. Yea there are some perspective issues, but it's a pretty solid attempt at a background. (And as long as you're willing to attempt it, you'll always be able to get better at it.) You also appear to have an instinctive grasp of composition. Which is very good. One bit of general advice. When you're saving jpegs, save the quality nice and high (even if you end up with a bigger file). If you're using something like paint, where you can't adjust jpg quality, try using a png. Nothing ruins lovely artwork like compression artifacts. Actually. I just remembered a thread I was going to post.

n_n I'll work on perspective.
Ninja, what entirly do you mean by composition? Do you mean like just what is in the picture and how it is placed, or is there something more to the word? (in an art sense)
Also this is the highest quality I can do it at. When I post a picture here it makes it bigger. =/

From wiki - "composition is the placement or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art or a photograph, as distinct from the subject of a work. It can also be thought of as the organization of the elements of art according to the principles of art." Basically, the placement of elements in relation to each other and the frame. Good composition draws the eye through the picture to the points of importance. I actually linked to a tutorial on the subject earlier on.
